I thought you might find this interesting. The producer of the infamous Tsunami Song, Rick Delgado, was recently hired by Clear Channel to produce the KYLD morning show in San Francisco. Of course, they defended their decision, basically saying that it didn't matter because all he'd be doing is booking guests. Delgado himself had this to say:
"In a surprising interview, Delgado said he thinks he was misinterpreted and wrote a song that was only in bad taste, but not racist, even though it used an epithet for Chinese people. He said he won't do that again, 'because I like their food and want to eat in their restaurants.'"
Phew! That makes it all ok. And really, who can avoid the lure of pepper steak?
